Jon Arnold, Vice President of EMEA, RealWear, said he was “immensely proud” of his firm’s continued recognition across the industry. Additionally, winning three categories last year, and its most recent achievement, was “a testament to our customer-focused solution strategy.”
He continued,
“This recognition from XR Today highlights the substantial value we bring to our customers through our innovative solutions. RealWear’s unwavering commitment to delivering cutting-edge assisted reality solutions for the manufacturing and industrial sectors has played a pivotal role in securing this prestigious accolade”
RealWear concluded that it “reaffirms its commitment to delivering transformative solutions” to reshape the future of work.
RealWear’s Tradition of Excellence, Innovation
RealWear’s achievement at the XR Today Awards 2023 comes after the Vancouver, Washington-based company launched three novel services for its devices in April. With Connect, Developer Toolkit, and App Marketplace, enterprise users can leverage the firm’s comprehensive, 360-degree solution platform.
Since its founding in 1999, the aR device firm has empowered remote workforce tools aimed at improving efficiency, transparency, and collaboration. Disparate, remote teams have leveraged RealWear’s hardware and software platforms to build real-world returns on investment (ROIs) with virtual solutions.
The firm has provided enterprises across the world with remote guidance and XR solutions. This has created a host of first responders, factory workers, manufacturers, oil and gas engineers, and other industry verticals.
RealWear’s Navigator 520 and the Remote Workforce
In a recent interview, Arnold explained how his company’s solutions empowered global workforces.
At the time, he explained that RealWear had made “significant progress” in its product offerings to customers.
This comes after RealWear launched its Navigator 520 aR smart glasses for frontline workers.
The acclaimed device has become a mainstay in the immersive solutions industry. Compared to previous generations, the Navigator 520 provides enhanced viewing capabilities with its HyperDisplay upgrade. Additionally, the latter offers over 20 percent larger field of view and a fivefold increase in eye box sizing.
Noah Balmer, Director of Product Design, RealWear, added:
“The RealWear Navigator 500 core display was more than adequate for most users, however having more screen real estate and almost double the pixels unlocks even more value – not only for more crisp text and more colour precise images, but also to get more on the screen. This allows our app developers around the world to improve on the current programs which already make work easier for the workers”
Additional improvements to RealWear’s product lineup include its first hands-free thermal camera complete with voice controls. This allows frontline workers to receive and capture high-resolution, visible-spectrum photos via the thermal lens on Navigator 520 headsets. Also, Infrastructure personnel can tap these technologies to inspect pumps, pipes, motors, and other key machinery with thermal imaging on the device.
The XR Awards 2023 broadcasted its second instalment of the ceremony on 25 May. Companies from across the immersive solutions space watched the annual event, honouring XR frontrunning enterprises’ achievements.
Numerous companies such as INVIDAR, Qualcomm, HTC VIVE, Lumus Vision, and many others received accolades for their contributions to XR technologies. Furthermore, XR Today’s Demond Cureton, Senior Reporter and David Dungay, Editor-in-Chief, hosted the event.
