Touchcast closes $55 million Series A funding round

Touchcast, a leading virtual experience company, also made XR Today’s headlines last week with a recent announcement claiming they’d raised a massive $55 million in Series A funding from Alexander Capital Ventures, Accenture, Saatchi Invest, and various other providers.

As well as playing a crucial role in scaling the Touchcast platform for virtual events, this funding proves how many investors are confident XR technologies will heavily influence the future of the events industry.

Hewlett-Packard Endorses Manchester-based Business

As a UK company, XR Today was happy to report on the recent news that Hewlett-Packard, a world-leading tech company, had endorsed Uvisan, a Manchester-based business supplying UV light sanitation solutions for VR headsets.

According to HP, the UV-C light solution is the only reliable and entirely safe way to disinfect headsets in the current landscape, and they believe Uvisan is a world-leader at developing the technology that keeps healthcare professionals safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
