Human-computer interfacing technology firm Rokid launched its Rokid AR Studio spatial computing platform this week.
The new solution includes the company’s Station Pro computing system and Max Pro augmented reality (AR) smart glasses. With the two solutions, the company aims to introduce its users to immersive spatial computing.
People using the device can interface with spatial AR content, 3D sound, and voice control commands.
The Rokid Max smart glasses also offer the following specifications:

- 90Hz visual refresh rate
- 3840 x 1200 OLED display with 4.6 million pixels
- omnidirectional speakers for cinematic audio
- six degrees of freedom (6DoF) and nine-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU)
- 76-gramme form factor for lightweight, portable interactivity
- Hand gesture recognition
- Premium hard case to protect and carry device
Introducing ‘Baby’ YodaOS-Master
Rokid’s smart glasses also feature the YodaOS-Master operating system, which allows users to receive optimised AR experiences for gaming, media playback, and productivity apps.
The capable 3D interface also provides an open software ecosystem for developing and sharing bespoke apps.
Additionally, Rokid has upgraded several features of its user experience research (UXR) software developer kit (SDK), which includes hand gestures, voice, projections, and other key input features.
It also features open, transparent performance tracking tools and bespoke configurations, allowing developers to incubate their latest creations via the SDK.
A Rokid-Qualcomm Combo
The Rokid Station Pro also leverages Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 1 processor, offering 50 percent better processing efficiency and 30 percent more heat dissipation than its predecessor.
Furthermore, the solution operates with a quiet, active cooling system for optimal cooling whilst working with massive amounts of data.

Customers in China can preorder the system with shipments commencing in September. Additional countries and markets will receive access to the solutions later in the year.
Furthermore, Rokid will launch the system as a bundle, which includes the AR smart glasses and Google-certified Rokid Station Android TV device.
The set will cost potential customers $489 USD for a back-to-school promotional sale and a separate, standalone sale on Amazon. Originally, the Rokid Max debuted in April, launching as the China and US-based firm’s premier smart glasses headset.
