Irish virtual reality (VR) firm ‘VR Education’ recently unveiled in a report its revenues had increased 84 percent over the last year.

The Waterford-based firm announced its H1 revenues were as high as €1.25 million — a massive increase compared to €0.68 million the same period last year.

Additionally, VR Education reported its Engage platform earned 72 percent of the firm’s revenue stream.

Recent Partners

Following the Engage v1.9 update, Engage VR began partnering with firms in the healthcare and automotive sectors to empower clients to create stunning visualisations and showrooms.

It later entered a commercial agreement with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for use at police events and a undisclosed custom project.

More projects are in the pipeline for the company, where the company recently signed a six-figure deal with a “major US multinational client” to digitally showcase products.

Furthermore, HTC Vive is planning on continuing its longstanding partnership with VR Education, with the latter also revealing in May it would be included in the Chinese release of the VIVE Focus 3.

HTC has also incorporated the Engage VR platform as part of its XR Suite, a collection of VR enterprise applications.

Engage Oasis

The news comes as VR Education develops ‘Oasis,’ a cloud-based digital city where virtual meetings or eCommerce can take place at any time.

VR Education announced the Metaverse platform in late June, just after the firm raised $10.7 million in a round of investments, and has also secured Facebook and the US State Department as clients.
