Sales enablement automation firm Bigtincan recently announced it had inked an agreement to fully acquire 100 percent of Vidinoti SA in a bid to build its Buying Experience of the Future for Enterprise solution for clients.

The acquisition will allow Bigtincan to strengthen its tools for sales professionals, namely to present products virtually to clients physical space, the company said in its announcement.

The Fribourg, Switzerland-based firm supplies solutions in augmented reality (AR) and holds a portfolio of patents as well as web-based content management system (CMS), allowing users to manage their AR content to scale.

The combination of Bigtincan and Vidinoti creates a new way to develop, deploy and manage AR content – offering companies a value proposition and alternative to traditional means of communication and interaction with buyers.

David Keane, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Bigtincan, said:

“The ability to interact digitally with objects in the real world can dramatically improve the buying experience for companies in traditional high-touch verticals like industrial manufacturing, retail, and hospitality”

Viditnoti’s technologies would allow Bigtincans’s customers to create augmented experiences for products at scale, “without relying on third parties and deliver them on any device,” he added.

Philippe Jeanrenaud, Chief Executive Officer of Vidinoti, added:

“Augmented reality has game-changing potential in areas like buyer engagement; it can completely redefine how salespeople interact with their customers”

Vidinoti was “thrilled” to work with Bigtincan to explore AR and VR technologies and “support the growth and effectiveness of the sales process,” he concluded.

The news comes as companies like 8th Wall released fresh WebAR solutions for its clients, which include Lego, Nike, and other multinational firms. 8th Wall’s Release 16 offered numerous updates such as smoother video recording and higher framerates, among others, for its AR marketing platform.

The firm’s AR solutions provided greater customer engagement of up to 5 minutes for some campaigns, proving XR technologies were quickly becoming a new space for reaching potential buyers.
