XRHealth has acquired NeuroReality to strengthen its therapeutic offerings with the likes of NeuroReality’s flagship offering ‘Koji’s Quest’.
Koji’s Quest is a “cutting-edge” tool that provides therapeutic and rehabilitative experiences through immersive XR games.
Describing itself as a “virtual clinic”, XRHealth is looking to establish itself as a leading XR therapeutic platform, having also acquired Amelia Virtual Care last year.
Eran Orr, CEO of XRHealth, believes Koji’s Quest will help to level up its offering:
“The acquisition of NeuroReality and its flagship product, Koji’s Quest, represents another leap forward in our mission to provide the most comprehensive XR therapeutic platform available.
“We are focused on creating a transformative experience for patients and clinicians alike, and Koji’s Quest will allow us to offer an even richer, more engaging set of tools for therapy and rehabilitation.”
Koji’s Quest
Koji’s Quest delivers “unique” interactive experience to assist with physical, cognitive, and emotional rehabilitation.
XRHealth asserts that the addition of Koji’s Quest brings new ways for healthcare providers to engage their patients with as its virtual reality and extended reality technologies can be applied to a variety of conditions.
The company also points to its acquisition of NeuroReality as helping to achieve its commitment of progressing the effectiveness and accessibility of XR therapies and providing a launchpad to further digital healthcare innovations in the future.
In 2023, NeuroReality, along with Koji’s Quest, was added to the Murrieta Innovation Center.
A press release by the California-based medical business incubator at the time explained that NeuroReality’s mission had been to reduce some of the economic burden on society by cutting healthcare costs, disability costs, and lost productivity, which aligned with its own values.
Scott Agajanian, City of Murrieta Economic Development Director, recognised Koji Quest’s potential to make a difference:
“NeuroReality’s flagship product, Koji’s Quest, has shown tremendous promise in revolutionsing cognitive rehabilitation.
“Koji’s Quest has already been successfully deployed in more than 15 pilot sites across the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, and the United States, and we are incredibly proud to support its expansion through the partnership with the MIC.”
What is XRHealth?
XRHealth “transforms” patient care rehabilitation using AI-powered immersive healthcare solutions using XR technology.
As well as creating XR technologies, CRHealth also owns its own clinics and works alongside healthcare organisations around the world, allowing for XR solutions to be integrated into a range of clinical settings.
Around this time last year, XRHealth and HTC VIVE literally launched a groundbreaking solution in a technological partnership designed to help astronauts tackle mental health issues.
Orr commented on his company’s first-of-its-kind achievement: “We are excited and proud to deploy the first headset on a space mission to relieve the pressure and stress so astronauts will be able to keep top performance while doing crucial space missions.”
Also last year, Moth+Flame, a provider of immersive training technologies, joined the global commemoration of Mental Health Awareness Month with a novel VR mental health solution.
It released a specialised immersive training category to address workplace-related mental health issues. Using a fresh library of immersive content, Moth+Flame’s Mental Wellness immersive content backs supportive environments in the workplace.
