Founded in 2008, WorkCast is firmly established as a leader in the online events segment, powering over 8,000 events in the recent past, attended by over 1 million participants in 20 countries.

The company’s CCO Barney Brown and CEO Stewart Kibby started WorkCast with the vision of creating a 360-degree content delivery mechanism, spanning virtual events, webcasts, and webinars.

Apart from the core WorkCast platform, the company also has an administrator-facing user interface (UI) called WorkCast Manager, launched in 2009.

WorkCast Manager can be used to create rich media content and apply corporate branding to your chosen event/meeting environment.

In 2019, the company announced that it would add ten new roles to its regional HQ in Sunderland, as well as additional roles in its two branch offices in Seattle and Edinburgh to drive its ongoing expansion efforts.

“Since opening our Seattle office in 2016, we have seen incredible interest in our platform across North America and have achieved year-on-year growth of 40 per cent,” the Stewart Kibby, WorkCast, CEO, mentioned on the occasion.

So, what are the features that make WorkCast so relevant for enterprises today, especially in the context of remote working? Let’s find out.

What Are the Key Features of WorkCast?

The WorkCast platform called Stratus is a fully functional online event manager and hosting application. Built on this platform, the company offers purpose-built products for webinars, virtual events, webcasts, and managed event services.

Cloud video capabilities

WorkCast is entirely cloud-based. This means you can scale it on-demand without having to invest in expensive hardware, or worry about capacity.

Participants can join in from any device, anywhere in the world. WorkCast has powerful cloud video capabilities in order to support 500 to 5,000+ event attendees at the same time.

Integration

Events aren’t a standalone initiative — they must connect with your larger marketing campaign, with adequate data connectivity to give you an accurate picture of customer intent, interest, and engagement.

That’s why WorkCast ships with native integrations for all your favourite marketing and CRM tools, including HubSpot, Marketo, and Salesforce.

White label implementation

You can easily incorporate your corporate branding aesthetic into events and webinars by using custom-branded templates. The enterprise edition features multiple custom templates created by WorkCast’s expert team of professionals especially for you.

Audience engagement

WorkCast has a number of capabilities to drive audience engagement and encourage interactions. You can conduct in-event polls to check on audience sentiment.

You can access detailed analytics reports during and after the event. You could even create event channels for streaming live video. Finally, WorkCast supports automated workflows with HubSpot for seamless data analysis.

What Are the Benefits of using WorkCast?

WorkCast’s biggest strength is its scalability to 5,000+ attendees. You can also gain from their use case-specific solutions for product demos, thought leadership, training, education, lead generation, and internal comms, thereby reducing your development efforts.

How Much Will It Cost?

WorkCast starts at £95 for the Present+ edition. The £395 Producer+ edition adds-in scheduled replay and video content upload, among others. The enterprise edition is custom-priced.
