Just a week after being announced at Meta’s Connect Event, leaked photos on Twitter have revealed details of the Menlo Park-firm’s upcoming Project Cambria: a virtual reality (VR) headset to succeed the highly-popular Oculus Quest line of products.
Users Bastian and Samulia posted the leaks on Twitter revealing a series of images of 3D models for the upcoming VR headset.

The leaked models show the base Project Cambria headset and unveil the wearable’s headstrap and controllers.
Project Cambria’s headstrap appears to be sturdier than the Quest Two fabric ones, have more padding, and include an adjustable plastic casing.
Furthermore, Cambria’s controllers appear almost identical to the Quest with the same button layout, but appear to have omitted the front-facing tracking ring that surrounds Quest Two controllers, indicating Meta is greatly improving or changing its outward tracking for Project Cambria.
This is the closet fans can get to Project Cambria, and the presence of Oculus’ now-defunct logo prove the leaks are potentially out of date and may not accurately represent the final release.
Project Cambria: A Series of Leaks
The news comes after Mark Zuckerberg, Meta CEO and Co-Founder, and Andrew Bosworth, Vice President of Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR), teased audiences in a pair of social media posts.
Following this, Zuckerberg officially announced Project Cambria during last month’s Connect event along with his company’s upcoming augmented reality (AR) headset, Project Nazare.
Bastian and Samulia previously leaked a series of videos reportedly revealing Quest Pro designs and user tutorials, which Zuckerberg failed to acknowledge or confirm at the event.
