Last Wednesday, KP9 Interactive announced a partnership with NuEyes to launch a no-code content creation toolset designed for augmented reality (AR) developers seeking to distribute immersive services for smart glasses.

The announcement, made during last week’s Augmented World Expo (AWE) 2022, introduced the licencing partnership between the firms.
During its showcase, the pair debuted plans to establish a service to enable AR developers to create location-based immersive experiences called WorldCAST spaces.
Introducing WorldCAST
WorldCAST is a WebAR Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform designed to democratise AR content creation tools. By employing a no-code creation suite, NuEyes and KP9 enable developers at all levels to create AR services.
The debut of WorldCAST follows similar efforts from immersive technology firms like XR Bootcamp, Meta, Unity, and BUNDLAR to democratise extended reality (XR) content development with easy-to-use tools.
The partnership lets AR developers create a shared Metaverse experience which connects global NuEyes hardware users in a WorldCAST space. Additionally, the service enables creators to deploy AR services across various devices to improve user growth.
The CEO of KP9 Interactive, Wil McReynolds, added:
“Nobody can say they can place content at a location (pretty much real-time) with zero code, in any browser, and have it open in the fashion of which it does on the Pro 3e, iPhone, and Android”
To access a WorldCAST AR experience, users click a web link, scan a QR code, or walk into a digital space overlayed on top of the real world.
The no-code content creation service instantly distributes AR content across NuEyes smart glasses. Also, according to the immersive technology vendor, the service enables lesser skilled AR developers to deploy web-based AR experiences along with seasoned developers.
NuEyes creation suite supports various use cases other than gaming and Metaverse experiences by forecasting tourism, digital preservation, education, and entertainment market use trends.
Additionally, the pair is making WorldCAST services available for NuEyes’ upcoming Pro3e smart glasses, in the autumn of this year.
