This week, spatial data solutions provider Amrax partnered with interior design software company Palette CAD. The partnership sees Palette CAD integrate features from Metaroom – an XR solution by Amrax – to enhance Palette’s 3D design software.
Dirk Böckstiegel, the Director of Business Development and Export at Palette CAD AG, said:
The interaction between Metaroom and Palette CAD is a prime example of how software can adapt to the user today. Scanning a room on-site at the customer’s premises using a smartphone and seamlessly switching to 3D planning takes the ease and efficiency of the consultation phase to a new level. We are delighted to have gained a strong new partner in Metaroom by Amrax, who – just like us – focuses on user-friendliness.
Palette CAD allows users to create accurate 3D scans of a building’s interior to design and showcase projects, order materials, and create blueprints. Moreover, Palette CAD allows innovative designers to leverage their Apple Pro smartphone LiDAR-ready cameras to scan and digitise a room or object.
On the other hand, Metaroom allows users to view 3D scans as a digital twin, leveraging AI, LiDAR, cloud, and SLAM technologies. The Metaroom Studio solution by Amrax will enable designers to edit their digital twins via a desktop application by adding crucial mission information.
3D Capture Tech Ready for All
The partnership lets Palette CAD users send their 3D captures directly to the Metaroom application. Therefore, making spatial design accessible to professional designers can lead to more innovation, sustainable design, and lower costs and time waste.
Martin Huber, the CEO of Amrax, said:
The design industry is undergoing a quiet revolution. Innovations in 3D modelling, spatial design, and AI combine to transform how buildings and homes are created. This gives consumers and professionals more control, creativity, and insight into their projects. In turn, this has a huge impact on everything from design sustainability to optimizing how it functions.
“Partnerships are the key to bringing these powerful tools to the mainstream, ” remarked Huber, who noted, “Palette CAD has a huge customer base built up over decades, and I’m confident they will find Metaroom a great asset in the design process.”
The partnership follows Amrax XR solution scaling via other alliances with firms such as Relux, Ranplan, Autodesk, and Siemens.
