MeetinVR announced version 2.0 of its enterprise-grade remote collaboration platform this Monday, which upgrades with new meeting rooms, user-end tools, and visual upgrades.
Version 2.0 is available on Wednesday for Meta Quest devices, following debut in March last year on the virtual reality (VR) device. At the end of 2021, Meta showcased MeetinVR as one of its featured applications on the Meta Quest storefront.
The Founder of MeetinVR, Cristian-Emanuel Anton, said,
“We are seeing more and more companies having outstanding results by collaborating in the metaverse using MeetinVR. Many of these companies are looking to expand their use of our solution and therefore we are releasing our biggest upgrade yet”
The MeetinVR platform is also available on several VR headsets from immersive technology vendors, including Pico Interactive and Varjo, and is also accessible via a PC or desktop.

New Features for Forward-Thinking Enterprises
MeetinVR Version 2.0 contains a trove of new features to assist firms seeking to collaborate in a business-ready Metaverse.
New MeetingVR features include:
- A rich avatar creation tool that enables a user to transform a selfie into a 3D representation of themselves consisting of haircuts, facial features, and clothing options.
- Fresh presentation tools to support small and large-scale meetings. Event hosts can present many file formats, including support for PDFs, real-time 3D (RT3D) assets, 360 files, images, and videos.
- New and vastly improved interactive whiteboards.
- 360 canvases to create anywhere in an environment.
- Brand new meeting and scheduling tools that users can integrate into a headset’s calendar system.
- New moderation features, such as management systems for editing RT3D models and changing group microphone settings.
The update also adds new meeting environments known as ‘Rooms’, which suit business use cases, including training, remote guidance, and education.
Pedro Gonçalves, Chief Information Officer of Teleperformance Portugal, an enterprise partner of MeetinVR, added,
“The new workshop room is incredibly adapted for the purpose of small working groups that are isolated by in-place sound bubbles. The groups can execute collaborative work without disrupting the nearby groups. It increases the usability, collaboration, and productivity of such professional activities. The new rooftop room is an incredible place for social connection and easy talking in a very relaxing environment”
MeetinVR also includes new rooms such as its ‘Workshop’ and ‘Rooftop’ environments, which provide work and leisure activities for users.
