Event Farm is an event engagement software platform that handles registration and multiple elements during an event for users to communicate with each other and the organizer.

When speaking with Event Farm Co-Founder, Ryan Costello, he told us he started the company to address a problem within the event production space of ensuring the right people are in attendance at all times.

With standard ticketing software, anyone can sign up and buy admission to guarantee a desirable quantity of people. Inevitably the need arose for a solution to ensure the quality of attendants as well. Additionally, Event Farms strives to make each event an engaging experience for users.

“Over the past ten years, our client list has grown into the thousands and includes Nike, Google, JPMorgan Chase, and NBC Universal. These are customers that care a great deal about their brand and how they engage with their audience,” says Costello

The goal is for attendees to leave a virtual event feeling inspired to continue engagement with our customers.

First of Its Kind Engagement

Using the idea of restricted access ticketing, Event Farm developed the first nontransferable RSVP.

When an invitation is sent, the recipient is directed to a dynamically generated landing page that only that person can access, meaning they cannot forward a link to an intern to serve as a proxy.

Also, every step of the event process, from the invitations to the email updates, is 100% customizable to fit an organization’s desired branding experience. This level of detail allows every company to present its unique image to its audience in a personal way.

Another significant benefit of Event Farm is that it is venue agnostic, meaning support is available for virtual, in-person, and hybrid platforms.

When organizations license Event Farm’s software, they can use it in multiple event configurations. There’s the typical event format used for brand awareness and consumer engagement.

Businesses can also leverage technology for large internal meetings, trade shows, and conferences. In every instance, targeting the right people is key to driving the right kind of experience and creating the best possible atmosphere.

From one event, Costello told us, “a charity raised $8M just by using Event Farm software because the right people were there. When the right people show up, the right sponsors and partners are inclined to participate and help accelerate business.”

Making the Right Connections for the Future of Events

To meet the remote transformation needs within the event production space over the past year, Event Farm partnered with virtual collaboration company Virbela that builds avatar-based campuses.

The result was an integration of Virbela’s format into Event Farm’s platform to form Echo. Costello explains how Echo works from the end users’ perspective:

“When it’s time for the event, the attendee will install an app to install on their computer and build an avatar to walk around the virtual event space. An entire world is available to meet people, check out expo halls, and go to performances. This is a great business application to facilitate corporate commerce and events all without a headset for high accessibility.”

What’s interesting in the event technology field is that it’s not a well-funded industry, and is not many investors consider it an attractive opportunity. Instead, investors prefer technology like SaaS that features recurring revenue and annul contracts.

However, due to the pandemic, that has changed dramatically, and enormous funding rounds have come into the market. An event technology company is actually the fastest company in history to reach a $2 billion valuation. Why? Because when all events and meetings came to a halt, the demand for virtual interfaces skyrocketed.

On top of the need being more prevalent than ever, the interaction with these tools generates data on the users. From a sales and marketing perspective, user data becomes invaluable to reach consumers with greater specificity.

Today, events platforms have evolved from tools for facilitating human interaction into a critical part of business strategy that opens endless opportunities. Event Farm makes event producers happy because of its brand-specific capabilities, while marketing and sales teams benefit from rich user data.

This technology is an enterprise-level solution that brings together the right people and organizations’ correct information.
