As we showcase our XR Trends and Updates series, we’ve pulled aside two of the top brands from the immersive tech industry to receive updates on their operations.
London’s own ARuVR and global tech giant Lenovo have discussed their latest updates with Rory Greener, Technology Journalist, XR Today, to provide their incredible insights on their state of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality (VR/AR/MR).
Frank Furnari, Chief Executive and Founder, ARuVR and Vishal Shah, General Manager of XR and Metaverse, Lenovo, join the conversations to update XR Today’s audiences.
Here’s more from our heavyweight headliners in the immersive tech space.
ARuVR
Formerly Virtuoso, ARuVR is a British firm founded in 2017 that provides end-to-end, turnkey, and scalable XR technologies for virtual learning.
Enterprises across the globe have lauded the firm for its fully comprehensive hardware, software, and solutions for rapidly deploying, training, and managing teams upskilling requirements.
Through the company’s efforts, multinational companies like Coca-Cola, BT, Barilla, Five Guys, LNER, O2, and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) have realised the full potential of XR learning and development (L&D) with bespoke, engaging curricula backed by generative artificial intelligence (GenAI).
Lenovo
Lenovo is arguably the world’s largest provider of computer technologies by volume and has remained a mainstay in the enterprise XR market with its all-in-one ThinkReality platform.
Based in Beijing, China and Morrisville, North Carolina, USA, the company has provided innovative solutions like its A3 smart glasses and, most recently, its ThinkReality VRX mixed reality headset.
With a fully-fledged enterprise metaverse platform, ThinkReality, Lenovo has transformed into a trailblazer of spatial computing solutions for enterprises of all sizes.

Big XR Update: Inside Lenovo’s Metaverse Roadmap
“We strongly feel that, instead of having to wait for 10 to 18 months to deploy the enterprise metaverse, we have products right now that are already being deployed by our enterprise customers and delivering a great return on investment (ROI) and value to them. We do that with our ThinkReality platform […], and we’ve created a complete end-to-end ecosystem. We are one of the few companies in the world that have both an AR line of headsets (ThinkReality A3) as well as our VR headsets (ThinkReality VRX). To us, it starts with our end-to-end solution, the ThinkReality cloud and software platform, that helps you to deploy, manage, and upload content for these devices at scale, and it also works with other third-party mobile device management systems (MDMS)”
Big XR Update: ARuVR’s Updates and Roadmap
“We’re focusing on learning and development use cases for enterprises. If you think about traditional training today, it’s very passive. Users learn by watching it, and they simply forget it quite easily, because there aren’t too many engagements or interactions. Then, it requires hours of work and you, the trainer, at the end of the day, receive basic data of that experience. What we’re trying to do is solve all of these challenges by introducing what we call ‘blended learning 3.0,’ which combines face-to-face, digital content, and XR content. By doing that, the training courses will be far more engaged, the users will learn by doing it and will remember much more, significantly increasing the retention rate for learners”
