Next month, the Augmented World Expo (AWE) will host its EU technology event, showcasing the latest extended reality (XR) innovations, topics, and products. The two-day event will take place from 20 to 21  October in Lisbon, Portugal.

The event also features a diverse lineup of thought leaders sharing their insights into emerging immersive technology through a series of sessions, keynotes, and workshops.

AWE is hosting the largest European XR event of its kind, with over 100 exhibitors highlighting immersive products for real-world enterprise XR use cases.

Following a COVID-imposed hiatus, AWE is back in Europe to focus on the region’s significant influence on the XR market. In a statement, Ori Inbar, the Co-Creator of AWE, said the event would focus on the activities of EU XR firms, researchers, and artists that use immersive technology for work and living.

The event also hosts representatives from major XR organisations like Orange, Accenture, and the XR Association.

AWE EU promotes creator and developer best practices throughout sessions featuring leading XR firms like Google, HTC VIVE, and Meta speaking on emerging use cases covering business-to-consumer (B2C), business-to-business (B2B), and the European Union (EU).

Attending In-Person and Virtually, Opportunities for All

The four-day event presents an in-person XR ecosystem for attendees through the main stage and the exhibition spaces. The AWE also runs a curated environment featuring educational classes, workshops, and networking opportunities for end-users to meet solution providers.

The main stage will feature a diverse lineup of almost 200 speakers speaking on essential XR subjects focusing on social impact. AWE has prepared a schedule with 11 focus topics for its keynotes like inoperability, Web3, and artificial intelligence (AI), using real-world industrial and enterprise use cases.

Global startups will occupy many on-site pavilions throughout the event to showcase new XR solutions and opportunities, including a tailored space for Korean startups.

AWE is also debuting a playground area where numerous XR entertainment brands let attendees experience boundary-pushing immersive media.

Additionally, the online sister portal – awe.live – can host “thousands” of digital attendees alongside the more than 2,000 expected in-person attendees. AWE is bringing together its dispersed online audiences with a stream of webinars, sessions, and a series of local meetups in over 20 global cities.

Registration to AWE’s event is open now for digital and in-person attendees.
