Taiwanese tech firm HTC is now taking UK pre-orders for the full kit version of its consumer-grade VIVE Pro 2 mixed reality (MR) headset.
UK pre-orders are available for £1,299.00, which includes the full kit package, a 2-month Viveport Infinity membership, and £50 cashback on a future HTC order.
This follows developments on the standalone headset, which opened pre-orders in June and additionally, the Full Kit launched in the United States and Canada before becoming available in the UK.
What Comes in the VIVE Pro 2 Full Kit
HTC is providing the Vive Pro 2 Full Kit with a pair of base stations and controllers as the standalone headset does not include any extras and is priced at £719.
The Taoyuan City-based company is proud to present a pair of accessories customer can purchase along with the pre-order for £129.
The news comes after the electronics firm announced updates to the ‘Vive Tracker 3.0’ and new ground-breaking ‘Vive Facial Tracker’ in March of 2021.
The new Tracker offers a 75 percent increase in battery life and 15 percent reduction in weight, with the updated hardware capturing full-body movement for improved immersion.
HTC VIVE also offers a new facial tracker which can seamlessly track 38 facial movements.
HTC’s Ground-breaking Headsets
The latest announcements come after the market-leading company unveiled its consumer-focused VIVE Pro 2 and enterprise-focused Vive Focus 3 headsets at the Vivecon 2021 event in May.
In the following June, the Taiwanese firm opened global pre-orders for standalone Vive Pro 2 and Vive Focus 3 headsets to enterprises and consumers.
Both models boast an industry-leading 5K display, or 2448 × 2448 pixels per eye (ppi), a 120-degree field of view (FoV) and smooth 120Hz refresh rate.
