The VITURE One demoed its mixed reality (MR) gaming Mobile Dock solution at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023 in Las Vegas.

An honoree of the CES 2023 Innovation Awards, the headset offers users game streaming from any location. The new solution previously earned a Fast Company 2022 Innovation by Design Award and was recognised as TIME Magazine’s Best Inventions of 2022.

What’s on Offer?

The device offers spatial audio and a 120-inch virtual screen for stunning gaming experiences. It also works seamlessly across laptops, PCs, Steam Decks, and VITURE’s Mobile Dock for the Nintendo Switch and other cooperative gaming.

The new device eliminates the need for large head-mounted displays (HMDs) paired with handheld devices. The VITURE One provides gamers with a lightweight, 78-gramme form factor for fully immersive virtual battles across portable gaming machines.

It also connects to streaming platforms such as Apple TV and Netflix for massive cinematic experiences. Coupled with HARMAN spatial audio technologies, the headset also features brightness and background adjustments for optimal video playback.

David Jiang, VITURE’s Co-Founder and Chief Executive, said,

“With portable gaming and entertainment becoming more prevalent than ever, we’re pleased to bring the first stylish XR solution to the market that can handle streaming and AAA gaming on the go”

Series A Fundraiser

The news comes after the startup earned $10 million USD in capital from a Series A fundraiser from BAI Capital and Verity Ventures.

The new funds boosted research and development (R&D) for the VITURE One headset, with a total funding of $15 million USD. It also initially launched a Kickstarter campaign in April last year, earning over $3 million USD in crowdfunding.

Other firms such as HTC VIVE’s Flow smart goggles offer similar functionality. The Flow includes a lightweight form factor with platform streaming, entertainment, and immersive health and wellness apps.

According to a recent tweet, the San Francisco, California-based firm stated its optimism for the coming year.

The company said: “This is the year everything changes. VITURE One XR Glasses are finally here and the gateway to the future is open.”

VITURE Product Timeline

To date, VITURE has released its One XR smart glasses, a neckband, and the recently-debuted Mobile Dock. It also released accessories such as lens shades, charging cases, and other tools.

I‍t is currently taking preorders for its device, which the startup expects to ship in late January or February, according to its product timeline.

Speaking further, the company wrote,

“Innovative products pose challenges, and rather than rushing out something mediocre or forgettable, VITURE is committed to delivering perfection. After the recent success of our XR Glasses trial program, we’ve decided to expand the testing period to include our Neckband & Mobile Dock”

Despite the product delays, the company pushed back the debut to focus on its comprehensive solution complete with its Neckband and Mobile Dock accessories.
