Augmented and mixed reality (AR/MR) firm ThirdEye has partnered with Chinese extended reality (XR) experts Go VR Immersive to extend global availability of its X2 MR smart glasses.

The Princeton-based firm appointed Go VR Immersive earlier this week as an official Asia-Pacific reseller of its solutions and smart glasses in a bid to boost its global presence.

Howard Tian, Founder and VR Director of Go VR Immersive, said he believed ThirdEye’s solution had “the ability to perfectly service the needs in our market.”

Tian also believes the X2 MR smart glasses will improve communication between remote workers in offices across China, adding,

“We are very proud to have entered into this partnership and be able to bring this solution to Hong Kong”

The news comes as the Hong Kong-based IT vendor works closely with Microsoft, who hopes to expand sales of its HoloLens 2 MR headsets across Asian-Pacific markets, allowing GO VR to become the only authorized reseller of the HoloLens 2 in Hong Kong.

GO VR Immersive bring a “strong experience and market knowledge of extended reality in sectors like field services, healthcare and education,” says Nick Cherukuri, CEO and Founder of ThirdEye, who added in a LinkedIn post he looked forward to “growing a relationship” with Go VR.

He continued, stating,

“We are committed to providing [GO VR] the best support, not only in terms of training and service, but also with custom solutions for their clients by leveraging our engineering experience and capabilities”
