GigXR, a global provider of extended reality (XR) healthcare eLearning solutions, partnered with medical XR visualisations experts ANIMA RES on Thursday to scale its hyper-realistic 3D anatomy training tools for global medical schools.
The partnership enables GigXR to provide its user base with a selection of new eLearning opportunities previously unavailable on the platform.

Additionally, Pablo Olmos, ANIMA RES’s CEO and Co-Founder, said that the GigXR partnership will enable his firm to grow across various vertical markets outside of healthcare “such as higher education,” and expand globally to “match GigXRs global footprint.”
Insight Training
Also, as part of the partnership, ANIMA RES is providing the GigXR immersive ecosystem with its award-winning Insight Series that creates high-quality 3D holograms of major organs like the heart, lungs, and kidney.
The Insight Series allows healthcare trainees to view different disease states and their effects on major organs, including accurately depicting the appearance of an organ and its structural movements. Insight Heart from ANIMA RES allows users to see immersive portrayals of myocardial infarction, arterial hypertension, and atrial fibrillation.
GigXR users need a single set of login details to access the ecosystem and upcoming Insight Series, allowing students, teachers, and developers to access the ecosystem easily with a single login to access XR curricular resources. The seamless feature also streamlines procurement processes at training institutions.
Insight Heart, Insight Lung, and Insight Kidney from ANIMA RES will debut on the GigXR platform in the summer of this year, with Insight Heart debuting first and other modules following.
Empowering Healthcare with GigXR
Along with ANIMA RES’ Insight training series, the partnership will allow GigXR to scale the development of a 360-degree training library of immersive resources for teachers and students.
GigXR’s immersive training resources will assist teaching in all disciplines within healthcare education by improving “the quality of learning for any institution across healthcare and higher education while also reducing their costs and operational burdens,” according to the CEO of GigXR, Jared Mermey.
The news comes after GigXR partnered with Cambridge University Health Partners and the UK National Health Service (NHS) to provide accurate XR training modules to students learning within a hybrid environment.

The GigXR platform creates a safe space to enable repeatable training scenarios that allow future clinicians to deliver excellent and safe healthcare within a real-life environment.
Late last year, GigXR teamed up with the University of Michigan to develop the ‘XR Procedure Training Suite’ to improve students’ diagnostic, surgical, and communication skills.
