3D technology firm Browzwear unveiled on Tuesday fresh updates to its VStitcher and Lotta fashion visualisation platforms complete with enhanced physics and fresh updates.

Version 2022.1 of the software will expedite the creation of realistic visuals and improved 3D fabric digital twins, allowing companies to employ the technologies across processes and reduce waste.

The updates also feature real-time 3D (RT3D), hyperrealistic representations of clothing by leveraging Epic Games’ Unreal Engine, which powers major hit titles such as Fortnite, Grand Theft Auto, and others with cinematic graphical capabilities.

Unreal Engine’s integration on Browzwear’s platform will allow the Singapore-based firm to boost its visual creation processes, increase clothing detail, and reduce computing system requirements.

v2022.1 also watermarks assets to compare virtual clothes to physical ones with the firm’s Fabric Analyzer (FAB) technology by checking the fit and movement of designs, providing true-to-life recreations of physical fashions for enterprises and cutting the need for physical sampling.

The news comes as the company is set to host a v2022.1 Edition webinar to discuss the platform’s updates and features.

Hanan Lifshitz, Vice President of Products for Browzwear, said that RT3D technology’s increasing role in developing sustainable fashion would spark the need for greater visual accuracy of digital clothing, stating it would become “of growing importance.”

He continued, stating,

“The addition of FAB watermarks and Unreal Engine are just two of the many ways we are helping to reduce the industry’s environmental impact while also supporting better business practices that drive impact for the world overall”

Global fashion firms have trusted Browzwear’s technologies to deliver their digital solutions. Companies such as Columbia Sportswear, Adidas, Dickies, Nike, Puma, New Balance, Superdry, PVH, and Walmart have incorporated the enterprise’s digital streetwear solutions to empower their brands and boost sales conversions.

The news comes as a host of the world’s top brands have begun tapping the potential of metaverse technologies to engage global audiences and consumers, with companies such as Nike, Adidas, Gucci, Timberland, Under Armour, and many others moving to the Metaverse to build virtual communities.

Nike, arguably the largest sportswear brand worldwide, unveiled a new concept store in Seoul’s Hongdae to promote immersive experiences for shoppers with bespoke mixed reality (MR) content.

Timberland also leveraged Epic Games’ Fortnite metaverse platform for its innovation campaign, allowing attendees to compete for prizes, learn about new designs, and socialise in the digital world.

Companies such as ARTISANT have also backed the virtual fashion industry with a history of non-fungible token (NFT) drops, promotional events, and initiatives to engage women content creators across the sector and host thousands of digital fashionistas from across the world.
