Xiaomi Patents Magnetic Smart Glass Technology

Chinese tech giant Xiaomi received authorisation to patent magnetic AR smart glasses featuring modular mounting parts to boost portability and customisation, Pandaily reported last week.

The development comes after the Beijing-based company created an experimental version of its smart glasses technology last autumn, which featured microLED waveguides, a 51g weight, and numerous functions for calling, viewing photos, navigating in real-time, and many others.
