HP Debuts XR Device Management SaaS Platform

Global tech firm Hewlett-Packard (HP) joined the Metaverse 2.0 event to discuss its ExtendXR solution for assisting in XR headset deployment and remote management.

The Software-as-as-Service tool will allow enterprises to manage small or large-scale workforces, monitor metrics, and upgrade software as well as support user-created immersive content.

The Summit also saw VRARA’s Anna-Marie Enns speak with Klaris Law’s Alexia Bedat for a fireside chat on the future of Metaverse law, which is expected to become increasingly vital in the next few years.

Metaverse and law firms will soon face disruptions in the emerging technologies’ markets, and lawyers specialising in numerous fields such as blockchain, cybersecurity, and copyrighting will have to contribute their expertise to tackle the challenges.

Niantic Buys 8th Wall to Build Metaverse Experiences

Niantic, the developers of the critically-acclaimed Pokemon Go AR game, purchased 8th Wall in a massive buyout last week, leading to a major merger of two spatial computing firms.

8th Wall will combine its expertise in mobile webAR to back Niantic’s growth and new market goals for over 50,000 immersive campaigns for global firms such as Universal, Nike, and Lego, among others.

Singulos Research Debuts Perceptus’ AR Tool

XR Today spoke with Dr Brad Quinton, CEO and CTO for Singulos Research, to discuss the Perceptus AR visual comprehensive tool backed by the latest artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms.

Dr Quinton discussed the new platform and how it could reshape XR to date, as well as the future of AI in the industry and how it could apply to future solutions.
