Iristick Inks Distribution Deal with Capestone
Smart glasses manufacturer Iristick announced last week it had inked a distribution agreement with European internet-of-things tech vendor Capestone.
The joint effort will allow Iristick to distribute its products across Europe and expand Capestone’s tech portfolio of AR head-mounted displays, according to reports.
Vuzix Debuts Zoom for Smart Glasses App
AR smart glasses company Vuzix revealed Zoom integration for its device lineup, allowing enterprise users to stream point-of-view video footage directly from the headset and attend meetings via the app.
Wearers can reach colleagues and teams with the Zoom Marketplace app and share their screens with numerous others, the company said in a statement on Wednesday last week.
Vuereal Secures $14.4m for microLED XR Displays
VueReal, a manufacturer of microLED displays, revealed it had secured nearly $14.4 million USD in a fundraising round from Cycle Capital, LG Electronics, TDK Ventures, and Samsung Ventures.
The news comes amid a race to secure materials and innovative solutions for a wave of upcoming devices, including Apple, Nreal, Meta, and other devicemakers, amid the ongoing Metaverse race.
TCL Launches Leiniao Air Smart Glasses in China
China’s TCL subsidiary, Leiniao, has launched a fresh pair of smart glasses for its mainland market, Chinese media reported on Wednesday last week.
Debuting at the Consumer Electronics Show 2022 in early January, the device provides a large viewing screen along with TÜV Rheinland certification to reduce eye strain, as well as a Sony microOLED for optimal visuals and sharper colours.
