Unity Technologies is set to host a major summit on 12 October aimed at promoting real-time 3D (RT3D) content creators making a social impact on the world.

The Unity for Humanity Summit will showcase the creativity of developers delivering content for a “healthier, more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable society.”

Common, Hip-Hop Artist, Activist, Actor, and Author, inspired the summit’s theme “Imagining a better world” with his latest hit single, “Imagine”.

He is set to join a fireside chat with David Washington, Chief Impact Officer for HiDef Inc, to discuss a major partnership between Unity and Common’s Art in Motion (AIM) Creative Arts School.

Additional speakers include Ashley Alicea, Senior Developer Advocate for Games at Unity, Dr Elizabeth Bagley, Director of Drawdown Learn at Project Drawdown, Sam Glassenberg, Founder and Chief Executive of Level Ex, Yennie Solheim, Director of Social Impact at Niantic, and many others.

Unity has awarded over $2.5 million USD to social impact creators since its initial Summit last year, with funds raised from the company’s Unity for Humanity programme and Unity Charitable Fund.

The 2021 Summit will unite charities, officials, influencers and others on a platform of numerous activities, including workshops, networking opportunities, and panel discussions. Attendees can visit sessions to learn tools for creating RT3D content, the Metaverse, and additional technical skills.

Several thought leaders will discuss building inclusive education and economic opportunities for rising developers, as well as promoting sustainability, healthcare and wellness, and other initiatives.

Unity is the world’s leading platform for virtual reality, gaming, RT3D, and immersive content. For more information and to register for the event, kindly visit the Unity for Humanity website.
