The past few months are proving staggering for the XR space; just as the year closes, the immersive technology industry is filling headlines with pivot announcements from enterprise XR events – leading to a healthy start to 2024. Next week, however, another major XR technology event is coming by way of Immersive Tech Week, which takes place in Rotterdam from November 28th to December 1st.
The event aims to promote enterprise and education use cases for XR through a deep exhibition hall featuring major XR firms and speakers who are readying up to share insights into the industry as it heads towards a potential landmark year. Additionally, the VRDays Foundation leads the event following a storied history of undertaking industry events to promote enterprise XR.
Uniting Leaders to Push Enterprise XR Forward
As 2024 approaches, industry leaders, firms, and vendors seek to accelerate device adoption by promoting hardware scaling and software development. Immersive Tech Week looks to unite the industry before the holiday period approaches, creating a profound networking opportunity for the range of attendees.
Pierre-Stuart Rostain, Head of Partnerships at VRDays Foundation, organisers of Immersive Tech Week, in an official blog post added:
There are only a handful of XR events in the world that have tangible global impact, and we are proud to be one of them. But what really makes ITW stand out, especially in Europe, is our holistic approach to the XR industry. The trade show, the conferences, the playground with demos for the general public, the Church of VR art expo showcasing the most creative and innovative in immersive storytelling, the EuroXR scientific conference, the AIXR VR Awards, all of this is happening at Immersive Tech Week Rotterdam. And this is all thanks to our domestic and international partners.
At the event, representatives and industry thought leaders from XR leaders, such as Meta, HTC, Google, Niantic, ShapesXR, PICO, and Microsoft, will discuss the AR/MR/VR marketplace through valuable speaker sessions.
Moreover, the event hosts a trade show space showcasing the latest innovative XR products and a playground area where attendees can try out immersive experiences ready for the event.
The event comes as many leading XR firms are prepping industrial Metaverse roadmaps and landmark devices for productivity and enterprise use cases in 2024. The VRDays Foundation looks to leverage the past year of innovation and progression, highlighting the industry’s year of maturity at its yearly event.
The hype cycle for XR and the Metaverse looks very different now compared to the start of the year. Leading into 2024, the immersive technology industry is seemingly moving towards enterprise and industry at an equal level to gaming or consumer markets – with VRDays Foundation ready to support that drive at Immersive Tech Week.
