XRHealth, a major healthcare Metaverse solution provider, has teamed up with HTC VIVE, one of the top firms for high-end virtual and mixed reality (VR/MR), to unveil its “Focus 3 Health” and “Flow Health” platforms.

The Boston, Massachusetts-based firm announced the news at the HIMSS Global Health Conference and Exhibition, which is currently taking place from 14 to 18 March in Orlando, Florida.

Both platforms employ HTC VIVE Focus 3 and VIVE Flow headsets complete with XRHealth’s VR health solutions, allowing hospitals, patients, and rehabilitation centres to access critical telehealth tools.

What’s in the Package?

The VR healthcare firm’s Flow Health bundle costs $599 USD and includes HTC VIVE’s Flow VR goggles, telemedicine platform, and additional screening calls with the former’s health clinicians.

The package will also allow patients to connect with VR Telehealth treatments with clinicians, with healthcare coverage or out-of-pocket expenses totalling $69 to $119 USD each week.

Hospitals and rehabilitation centres can also buy the “Focus 3 Health” package for a one-time fee of $1,300 USD for the VIVE Focus 3 headset and XRHealth solution, along with a subscription priced at $1,000 per month.

XRHealth’s solutions are US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and CE registered, namely to treat mental health, ADHD, autism, Parkinson’s, and multiple sclerosis, among other conditions.

Patients joining virtual treatment rooms can track their treatment progress, targets, and outcomes with healthcare professionals.

Comments, Updates on Virtual Telehealth

Eran Orr, Chief Executive for XRHealth, said,

“XRHealth, together with HTC, are excited to offer the public VR products specifically designed for the healthcare market. We believe in creating healthcare solutions that are limitless and provide continuous access and healthcare opportunities to patients around the globe”

Amir Khorram, Vice-President of Enterprise Sales for HTC VIVE, stated his company believed in the “power of VR to change lives.”

He added,

“We are honored to partner with XRHealth on Flow Health and Focus 3 Health – two innovative solutions centered around the power of the VIVE Focus 3 and the lightweight portability of the VIVE Flow, to offer patients and clinicians immersive remote VR telehealth treatments”

The news comes after several advancements in the telehealth industry, namely after MediView XR earned $9.9 million USD in a Series A round of funding for its immersive surgical platform.

The company’s platform allows patients to receive care regardless of distance from healthcare providers, and its XR30 tool employs augmented reality (AR) technologies to allow healthcare professionals to collaborate on ultrasound images for AR and mixed reality (MR) headsets.

A second Boston-based therapeutics firm, Rocket VR Health, inked a major research agreement with the Massachusetts General Hospital to use the former’s VR tools to treat post-operational cancer patients.

MR smart glasses firm ThirdEye and Crozer Health partnered in late January to supply the latter with X2 headsets, allowing first responders and accident and emergency (A&E) remote assistance tools.
