Vuzix, a major manufacturer of augmented reality (AR) smart glasses and solutions, announced on Thursday it had received a Consumer Electronics Award (CES) 2023 Innovation Award for Wearable Technology.
Vuzix has won 19 consecutive awards at the prestigious event, which has received more than 2,100 submissions this year. It will offer its award-winning Ultralite smart glasses solution as an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) platform.
The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) offers a platform for commemorating stellar designs and engineering innovations across 27 consumer tech categories at the CES 2023 event.
Judges from across multiple verticals will provide awards for innovation, functionality, design aesthetics and engineering efforts, among others.
CES 2023: More about Vuzix Ultralite
The new offering is a turnkey solution smart glasses specifically tailored for consumer markets. Its lightweight, simple design provides several features, including language translation, directions, messaging, workout routines, and others for wearers.

- Wireless, hands-free display of information on user smartphones and watches
- Accommodates multiple eyewear and prescription lenses
The new Ultralite solution also functions on Android and iOS smartphones and devices. Vuzix has leveraged years of experience and innovations in smart glasses technology to create the product.
The Rochester, New York-based firm’s Ultralite OEM provides consumer tech companies with an industry-leading AR device for the general public.
