The new smart glasses kit enables a range of features, such as the new lightweight and long-lasting Xtreme Weather power bank.
Both the power bank and the M400 Xtreme also have IP67-rated protection against dust and water, as well as being operable in temperatures ranging between 20°C to 45°C.
The M400 smart glasses have already been ‘widely adopted’, according to the leading smart glasses supplier Vuzix.
Paul Travers, President and CEO of Vuzix, believes this kit is meeting a demand: “Since we first launched the M400, we’ve been continually making improvements to this product.
“Over time, we’ve made the display brighter and increased screen life and durability, dramatically reduced non-user voice interference, upgraded the OS, added speech recognition and applications support in 30 languages, further ruggedized the adjustable hinge mechanism and improved other key design features.
“The enhancements implemented were often in direct response to the operational requests and general product feedback we have received from the thousands of customers that have been actively using our smart glasses.
“Upgrading to Android 13 support, for example, is another key requirement on our strategy roadmap for the year, based on customer feedback.
Travers continued:
“We’re confident that our new Collaboration Package and the release of the M400 Xtreme will meet the rising need to stay connected with peer teams regardless of location or environmental factors.”

The M400 Xtreme kit is an out-of-the-box solution that Vuzix believes is an improvement upon the M400 All-Weather Kit when it comes to the battery capacity, harsh workplace environments, and a headband designed for long shifts.
Vuzix has put together a limited-time Collaboration Package offer to increase smart glasses uptake in remote and challenging conditions. It is providing free access to some of its augmented reality communications, including Vuzix Video Conferencing for Zoom.
Such tools allow users to launch and join meetings quickly and easily and share video streams through the M400 smart glasses, using clients’ video conferencing applications.
The M400 smart glasses product page on Vuzix’s website also offers examples of ideal use cases for the new kit: “The M400 Xtreme kit is optimal for situations where weather or temperature are a factor. It combines our lightweight, durable, and long-lasting 3200 mAh Xtreme Weather battery that’s IP67 rated, along with a comfortable headband.
“Remote field service assignments and all-day cold storage warehouse duty are excellent use cases for the M400 Xtreme kit.”
All three M400 smart glasses kits have been listed for the same price of $1,799.99.
In November last year, Vuzix introduced INCOGNITO, a new integrated technology for the firm’s portfolio of enterprise and frontline AR smart glasses.
INCOGNITO is being used to improve the optical waveguide design and performance of the firm’s AR product portfolio.
Founded in 1997, Vuzix has won Consumer Electronics Show (CES) awards for innovation every year since 2005, as well as multiple further wireless technology innovation awards.
