The widely-popular cloud-based video conferencing app currently holds 191,000 enterprise clients with over 10 users each and offers HIPAA and PIPEDA-compliant tools for healthcare organisations.
Paul Travers, President and Chief Executive for Vuzix, said in a statement,
“After months of collaboration with the Zoom team, it is great to see Zoom for Smart Glasses app being added to the Zoom app marketplace to enhance the overall awareness and distribution of Vuzix smart glasses to Zoom’s enterprise customers”
The news comes after the Rochester, New York-based company announced in February it would integrate Microsoft Endpoint Manager on its hardware platform, allowing enterprises access to secure data and build Android OpenSource Project (AOSP)-backed software for training and onboarding staff.
Vuzix debuted its M400-C AR smart glasses, for use with smartphones and Windows-based computers, ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2022 to buyers in the first quarter (Q1 2022) this year.
The company has also struck a massive purchasing agreement with France’s Atlantic Mobile Accessories (AMA) to deploy its smart glasses XpertEye remote assistance solution for frontline and remote workers.
