This Month, augmented reality (AR) solutions provider VIRNECT entered a strategic partnership to integrate its enterprise-grade immersive software onto the DigiLens ARGO smart glasses product. The move enables VIRCENT to offer its customers improved user experience, performance, and affordability. The firm’s partnership with DigiLens also creates more hardware options for its content.

VIRNECT provides enterprise and industrial clients with immersive training and collaboration software. The software portfolio also enables firms to manage their chosen solutions for delivery across a workforce.

The immersive service provider delivers training content that assists trainees and workers in understanding complex on-site processes such as safety, maintenance, and repair operations.

Additionally, VIRNECT is using the partnership as a chance to support enterprise end-users in leveraging XR technology. The firm is delivering its XR content production suite for free to support the implementation of immersive hardware in various industrial environments.

VIRNECT currently distributes its immersive enterprise-grade software portfolio to clients such as LG Chemical, Samsung Electronics, KEPCO, and KAC.

Advanced Waveguide Displays for Enterprise

The partnership enables VIRNECT to leverage DigiLens’ brand of innovative waveguide displays. DigiLens offers ARGO, a smart glasses product which will gain new enterprise-grade software from VIRNECT.

DigiLens uses proprietary holographic nanostructure display tech to secure ARGO end-users with a more vivid, immersive experience, also allowing VIRNECT to deliver clearer AR experiences that promote safer and more efficient XR training scenarios.

Tim Ha, the CEO of VIRNECT, added:

We are excited to partner with DigiLens, a leader in waveguide display technology. By combining our expertise, we can offer innovative XR solutions to a wider audience. DigiLens ARGO will create new ways for people to learn, work, and communicate.

Additionally, the partnership allows DigiLens to introduce its display technology to more markets. Equally, the partnership also extends VIRCENT solutions to more customers, assisting with the acceleration and adoption of innovative immersive display and training solutions.

More on DigiLens ARGO

DigiLens first introduced its ARGO device in January. The firm designed its smart glasses as a versatile, rugged device that suits various industrial and enterprise environments.

According to DigiLens, end-users can operate the device in use cases like surgery, frontline work, and remote inspection. Moreover, wearers can use the device indoors or outdoors and multitask using immersive applications via voice controls.

The flexible device can provide a range of vertical end-users with photorealistic AR visualisations via its 48-megapixel display. Additionally, the device implements reduced eye glow, a small form factor, and other collaborative tools to provide a flexible hardware solution.
