This Thursday, Victory XR, T-Mobile, Qualcomm, and Lenovo partnered with the St. Ambrose University Innovation Summit to showcase AR immersive learning tools for undergraduates.

St. Ambrose University gained access to the trial alongside select school districts; the partnership provided St. Ambrose University with Lenovo ThinkReality A3 Smart Glasses to participate in the AR learning experiences.

Moreover, T-Mobile supported the project with a “generous” grant. Meanwhile, Qualcomm provided R&D grant capital through its Spaces Innovation Program, which promotes XR applications built on its Snapdragon Spaces XR Platform.

What’s on Offer for Undergraduate Students?

The Victory XR trail software solution gives undergraduate students access to AR visuals which overlay the medical learning experience onto the real world. Using Lenovo ThinkReality’s built-in hand-tracking, operators can interact with their surrounding objects and scenarios.

During the trial, the project partners introduced three AR learning tools. Firstly, St. Ambrose University gained access to Human Cadaver Lab, an AR training tool for showcasing highly detailed anatomy models. Moreover, the platform also connects various remote learners together. Users can see other connected students around a cadaver, providing a shared learning experience.

Secondly, the trial software contained a digital twin of a human bone compromised by cancer. Students can view the detailed model in 3D, manipulating the virtual object to see it from various angles.

Finally, Victory XR’s immersive learning solution gave St. Ambrose students access to an immersive environment of Luxor Temple and Avenue of the Sphinxes.

In a Linkedin post, Amy Novak, the President of St. Ambrose University, added:

[We are] excited to test the deployment of a human cadaver lab, a human bone compromised by cancer, and the Avenue of the Sphinxes as we at St. Ambrose explore the next generation of learning! We are one of only a handful of schools in the country looking at how we apply these technologies to undergraduate learning.

More on Victory XR

Victory XR is working hard to introduce immersive learning tools to various learning institutions internationally across multiple levels of education. For example, the firm struck a significant deal with Meta to deploy ten digitised university campuses across the United States.

The firm completed its goal in 2022, assisting Meta’s then-debuting ‘Immersive Learning’ platform, which worked to ensure the VR campuses are suitable for remote learning. At the same time, Meta was also readying the debut of its Meta Quest Pro, which the Menlo Park-based firm designed for the future of education and work.

Moreover, Victory XR is working on expanding its outreach to institutions in the XR and education space. The firm is attempting to move K-12 and higher education into the Metaverse with immersive remote learning opportunities and AR tools.

The firm is generally deploying its solutions to students in the US. However, the firm works with select global educational institutions such as Carolina Biological and Oxford University.

Victory XR also works in expanded training use cases, separate from education. The firm works with groups like ChalkBites to generate enterprise-grade training environments for repair and audit strategies.
