Taqtile’s Manifest augmented reality (AR) work instruction platform has received updates to allow frontline workers to access and operate virtual digital twins, the company announced on Tuesday.
The Seattle, Washington-based enterprise’s leading AR platform provides both static and animated digital twins to users for integration with internet of things (IoT) devices, sensors, and data.
Manifest capabilities include virtual viewing and interaction of heavy machinery to offer clear and precise equipment monitoring, training, and remote reviews.
The firm states people on the platform will require “little to no 3D [computer aided design] expertise” and can access multiple views of equpiment via drop down menus with additional information.
Compatible devices include Microsoft’s HoloLens Series, Magic Leap headsets, computer browsers, as well as Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android operating systems, according to the company website.

Taqtile’s Manifest platform also leverages AR, cloud computing, and LTE and 5G networks with a single solution, with both defence organisations and global firms adopting the new technology.
The developments come after Taqtile joined the California Manufacturers & Technology Association (CMTA) as a technology partner, which aims to build future manufacturing plants across the state and provide additional access to top educational programmes in the industry to boost frontline efficiency.
The news comes amid a push for remote inspection solutions, namely as Australian food processing and packaging firm TNA Solutions acquired a fleet of Microsoft HoloLens 2 headsets to virtually inspect customer locations and inspect equipment for clients amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Facebook and Matterport have also partnered to expand services of the Habitat-Matterport 3D Research Dataset (HM3D) to several US cities and states, XR Today reported in July.
