US eCommerce startup SuperWorld officially opened on Wednesday its non-refundable token (NFT) Superworld NFT Salon to allow individuals to buy, sell, and auction NFTs via an official AR-powered mobile application.

The new platform supports Metamask, Fortmatic, and Coinbase digital crypto-wallets for auctions and digital content purchases.

To best fit individual sellers, Superworld has offered a wealth of bespoke listing options such as adjustable integral values to pay royalties to sellers.

NFT auctioners can also customise their marketplace thanks to Superworld’s powerful NFT mobile application.

Owning Virtual Land with Superworld and Digital Oak

On top of developing the new storefront, Superworld will partner with New-York based Digital Oak to engage Metaverse users with benefits from conducting economic activity in the digital world.

The partnership will extend Superworld’s NFT coverage to support current Metaverse trends, with Digital Oak developing Web3, a decentralized, virtual community.

Digital Oak designed its Web3 eCommerce network from the ground up to engage consumers, designers, and investors in digital market opportunities.

Superworld uses augmented reality (AR) and Web3 to map out the entire globe to enable the purchase of virtual plots of land, giving sellers a real-world place to showcase NFTs in AR.

Web3 is in its early stages, but according to a post from Robert Cohen, Managing Director for Benson Oak Ventures, the new eCommerce platform has potential to grow in the near future, adding:

“There is a $60 trillion [USD[] market opportunity across an entirely new playing field where ownership is shared among its participants”

NFT Opportunities Set to Grow

The developments come as Canadian firm NexTech AR plans to create its HoloX NFT hologram platform and integrate AR adverts across social media platforms such as Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook.

Furthermore, Crypto startup Anima launched a $500,000 pre-seed round of fundraising with Coinbase Ventures, Flamingo DAO, and others backing its NFT-focused eCommerce platform.

Moreover, Croatian AR firm Delta Reality listed its Museum of Digital Life (MoDaL) Metaverse platform as a single NFT for roughly $38.400 USD.
