Leading Realty network, Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates, recently announced new functionality for its Curate AR app. The solution has now expanded into spatial computing and is available on the Magic Leap platform. Available now for the Magic Leap One, the Curate app aims to further enrich the home buying and selling experiences for both sales consumers and associates. Sotheby’s International Reality brand is the first company in real estate to deliver spatial computing for listings, which helps to bring the virtual and real world together.

According to Sotheby’s Global VP of Interactive Marketing, John Passerini, the Curate application demonstrates how this brand continues to focus on implementing visualisation tools to empower real estate professionals looking to expand their business operations and serve clients. The Magic Leap affiliation will provide independent associates through Sotheby’s International Realty to use innovative new technology for customer experiences.

Setting the Standard for the Industry

The spatial computing solution for Sotheby’s International Realty exceeds the expectations of today’s consumers, allowing them to see homes like never before. The addition of spatial computing into the Curate application is something that Sotheby’s believes will soon be implemented in various selling and home buying scenarios – particularly when it comes to helping agents to show to developers how they can leverage technology to assist prospective buyers in finding their new property.

The Chief Content Officer for Magic Leap, Rio Caraeff, said that the brand is looking forward to working with the team at Sotheby’s International Reality. This will certainly be an interesting addition to the diverse selection of experiences that Magic Leap has to offer.

The spatial computing functionality in the Curate app means that Sotheby’s International Reality agents can enrich the virtual staging experience for users. With a lightweight and wearable computer headset, users can easily interact with digital content from their home environment, with a controller that’s convenient and easy to use. There’s even the option to manipulate and interact with staging in a virtual world. Companies can add “shop the room” furnishings and other unique experiences into the mix.

Exploring Virtual Realities

With spatial computing features in Curate, the users of the app can explore home environments like never before. The product, designed by the RoOomy company features innovative staging technology ready to set the standard for the industry. RoOomy is a proven specialist in everything from AR and VR, to 3D rendering and modelling. The integration with Magic Leap on this new offering is just the latest step Sotheby’s International Realty is taking on its continued work with RoOomy.
