The AI boom is still going strong in 2025, and AR appears to be deeply involved in that journey. From NVIDIA to Meta, AI and XR could become equally growing technologies, with the growing AI space helping XR hardware and software reach its full potential.

Last week, at CES 2025, MeetKai showcased a collaboration with ThinkAR to highlight how professionals in various sectors are deploying AI-ready AR solutions in a bid to start a wave of new immersive wearable use cases. James Kaplan, CEO and Co-Founder of MeetKai noted the firm’s mission is to “shatter technological barriers and create tangible impact.”

Kaplan also added:

This year at CES, we’re showcasing how AI can be both innovative and inclusive, from transforming education with lifelike training platforms to making augmented reality technology accessible for everyone. These advancements aren’t just about futuristic concepts—they’re practical, user-focused tools that redefine how we live, work, and connect.

Scaling AI-Powered AR for Professionals

At CES 25, MeetKai and ThinkAR showcased their strides in immersive wearables, which readied featured clients with bespoke AR tools.

Notably, the firms worked with Florida State University to debut an AI-powered immersive education platform and Charlamagne tha God to produce an immersive entertainment experience.

The showcase comes as ThinkAR and MeetKai enter a strategic partnership to scale AI software platforms on wearable devices, including AR smart glasses.

The partners note that the collaboration will introduce emerging AI-powered XR services to assist with daily life and work, such as search features, digital twins, and agentic AI tools.

Jonathan Fozard, Associate Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Florida State University, said:

At Florida State University (FSU), we are leaders in innovative research and invest in transformative technology solutions that support student success. Embedded AI environments allow learners to be immersed in real-life scenarios and practice skills to build a future-ready workforce.

Technology experts at Florida State University’s College of Social Work have created an AI-powered virtual training platform to help prepare tomorrow’s social service workers for on-site practice. CES 2025 was full of new announcements and technologies, with firms like NVIDIA and Apple standing strong during the event.
