Arvizio, a provider of augmented and mixed reality (AR/MR) industry 4.0 solutions, announced version 2.0 of its AR Instructor remote guidance tool this Tuesday.

AR Instructor 2.0 includes a selection of new features to improve the no-code platform for AR-enhanced hybrid workflows.

The software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution can stream video and digital twins into the display of a worker to assist with remote guidance procedures. Version 2.0 includes new features such as animated digital twins, content caching, and enhanced workflow management tools.

Arvizio’s enhanced workflow mechanisms give dispersed employees control over documentation from the draft stage to publishing, including admin tools. Version 2.0 also contains technical considerations for third-party documentation, enabling workers to copy, share, and use extra resources.

Arvizio also offers Immerse 3D under its umbrella of extended reality (XR) technology which leverages 3D models and content for design reviews. Workers using Immerse 3D can stream and edit complex computer-assisted designs (CAD), including Revit or Navisworks file types.

Inoperable Distribution

Additionally, as part of AR Instructor 2.0, the company announced that the SaaS platform is debuting on the upcoming Magic Leap 2 headset, ready for the device’s general availability in September this year.

AR Instructor is available on other headsets, including Microsoft’s HoloLens 2 and the original Magic Leap device. Furthermore, Arivizio debuted device support for Apple iPads, iPhones, and Android smartphones in June.

Jonathan Reeves, the Founder and Chairman of Arvizio, added,

“Organizations embracing AR to rapidly train, upskill and maximize their workforce, demand a solution that is both user friendly and device agnostic. With the addition of Magic Leap 2, and robust feature enhancements, Arvizio’s AR Instructor 2.0 broadens cross-platform device flexibility and provides tools for effortless workflow creation and user management”

Magic Leap has teased fans with its sophomore device for the past year. Earlier this month, the MR technology vendors confirmed the device’s September 30th release date.

The news comes as Magic Leap debuts three device editions for consumers, enterprises, and developers. In July, the firm partnered with NavVis to secure AR-powered 3D mapping and digital twin tools.
