What has been your business/work highlight of 2024 so far?

2024 has been an incredible year, filled with milestones and global recognition across our three groundbreaking projects, which continue to push the boundaries of XR and technology.

Harvverse was honored as a finalist in the ‘Start-Up’ category of the prestigious Connecta Awards, showcasing our innovative approach to agriculture through real-time data and sustainability.

With Siucom, we’ve advanced XR innovation by connecting live data from farms directly to the metaverse and in Phygytal Mode. This breakthrough powers dynamic NFTs that reflect real-world environmental conditions, blending the physical and digital worlds in unprecedented ways.

Our cultural initiative, Los Rostros del Tiempo Maya NFT Collection, has brought ancient Mayan heritage to life through immersive XR storytelling, artfully integrating blockchain technology to share this history with a global audience.

Beyond these projects, one of the most fulfilling experiences has been teaching and empowering over 200 business professionals in El Salvador through ASI (Asociación Salvadoreña de Industriales), sharing insights and strategies to help them navigate the evolving technological landscape.

These achievements have been recognized on the global stage, with nominations for Agritech Málaga, the World Summit Awards (WSA), and Connecta B2B Awards, validating the transformative impact of our work.

Together, these milestones highlight our commitment to bridging technology, education, and innovation to create meaningful change.

Who is your business hero and why?

My business hero is Jensen Huang, the visionary founder and CEO of NVIDIA. His ability to foresee the transformative power of technology, particularly in AI and GPU computing, is nothing short of extraordinary. Huang didn’t just build a company; he created an ecosystem that powers innovations in AI, gaming, autonomous vehicles, and the metaverse.

What inspires me most is his relentless focus on innovation and adaptability.
NVIDIA didn’t remain a company solely for gaming GPUs—it evolved to become a leader in AI and data-centric technologies, shaping industries and redefining what’s possible.
His leadership style, blending technical brilliance with bold business strategy, resonates deeply with my vision for projects like Harvverse and Siucom, where we aim to harness the power of data and XR to create groundbreaking solutions.

Huang’s journey reminds me that staying ahead requires both innovation and the courage to pivot when opportunities arise.
His story is a powerful example of how visionary leadership can transform not just a company but entire industries.

What’s the biggest business mistake you’ve made and what did you learn from it?

One of the biggest business mistakes I made was underestimating the importance of aligning the right partnerships early in a project’s lifecycle. In one instance, I moved forward with a collaborator who, while talented, didn’t fully share the vision or long-term goals of the initiative. This misalignment led to delays and unnecessary challenges that could have been avoided with clearer communication and stronger due diligence upfront.

What I learned from this experience is the critical importance of shared values and strategic alignment in any partnership. Now, I place a much greater emphasis on setting clear expectations, having open dialogues about vision and objectives, and ensuring that collaborators are not only capable but also fully committed to the mission.

This lesson has been invaluable as I’ve scaled projects like Harvverse, Siucom, and Los Rostros del Tiempo Maya NFT XR Collection, where the right partnerships have been instrumental in driving success and innovation. It’s a mistake that taught me to value collaboration as much as creativity and execution.

What’s the most inspirational book you’ve ever read and why?

The most inspirational book I’ve ever read is *’Shoe Dog’* by Phil Knight, the founder of Nike. It’s not just a story about building one of the world’s most iconic brands; it’s a deeply personal account of resilience, risk-taking, and the relentless pursuit of a vision.

What resonated most with me was Knight’s honesty about the struggles he faced—financial hurdles, self-doubt, and navigating an unpredictable market. It reminded me that every entrepreneur’s journey is filled with setbacks, but it’s how we adapt, learn, and keep moving forward that defines success.

The book’s emphasis on building a strong team and trusting the process has been particularly meaningful in my own projects, like Harvverse and Siucom, where innovation requires not just vision but also collaboration and persistence.

Knight’s story is a testament to the power of grit, passion, and the belief that with enough determination, even the most ambitious dreams can become reality.

What’s the biggest challenge you face in your role in 2024?

The biggest challenge I face in 2024 is managing the complexity of leading multiple innovative projects, each pushing boundaries in XR, technology, and sustainability.

For example, Harvverse has entered its second phase, where we are integrating even more advanced data-driven solutions while also developing a video game to bring our vision into the metaverse. At the same time, Los Rostros del Tiempo Maya NFT Collection has become a significant challenge as it transitions to its next phase, combining cultural preservation with cutting-edge XR technologies.

We’re also diving into new territory with groundbreaking projects like developing facial recognition, biometric, and extended reality solutions for a bank and creating a VR/AR/XR training program focused on money laundering prevention and cybersecurity. These initiatives represent a unique opportunity to merge innovation with critical real-world applications in the financial and security sectors.

Balancing these ambitious projects with their unique technical and strategic demands, while also ensuring their scalability and long-term sustainability, is a significant challenge. However, this diversity is what drives me—it’s a chance to bring technology to life in ways that truly make an impact across industries and communities.

What technology will have the greatest impact on your business this year and why?

Without a doubt, Extended Reality (XR) will have the greatest impact on my business this year. XR—encompassing Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR)—is at the core of many of our key projects.

For example, in the second phase of Harvverse, we’re leveraging XR to create immersive, gamified experiences in the metaverse, making agricultural data not only accessible but also engaging for users. Similarly, XR is integral to our Los Rostros del Tiempo Maya NFT Collection, where we bring Mayan heritage to life through interactive storytelling and dynamic visuals.

Additionally, our new VR/AR/XR training program for money laundering prevention and cybersecurity harnesses XR’s ability to create realistic, high-stakes simulations, offering unparalleled training experiences for industries that demand precision and adaptability.

Lastly, facial recognition and biometric technologies combined with XR are poised to revolutionize user interactions and security in our project with the banking sector, pushing boundaries in how financial institutions approach innovation.

XR’s versatility and immersive potential make it transformative for both consumer engagement and enterprise solutions.
It’s not just a technology for us; it’s the foundation for creating impactful, future-forward experiences across all our projects.
