CareAR: A History of Partner Success
CareAR is dedicated to working with enterprise clients to distribute its remote communication platform worldwide. One such example is CareAR’s work with Lenovo.
CareAR worked with Lenovo last year to distribute its SXM platform for the Lenovo ThinkReality A3 smart glasses, which allow users to view multiple screens, stream video and audio, and object recognition using simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) techniques to superimpose digital assets.
The ServiceNow platform developed by CareAR aims to assist field technicians by using Lenovo glasses to connect them with remote guidance experts. This collaboration provides technicians with live instructions, visuals, and digital twins, among other helpful features.
According to Bulent Cinarkaya, the General Manager of Field Service Management at ServiceNow, AR and VR technology is essential to providing safe, efficient field service management experiences and resolving issues quickly to minimize expensive on-site visits.
Cinarkaya stated that the partnership with Lenovo and CareAR will enable enterprise customers and service technicians to expand AR to hands-free use cases and optimize how enterprises train technicians, share knowledge, troubleshoot issues, and offer support.
Vishal Shah, the General Manager of XR and Metaverse for Lenovo, also explained that the fast-paced nature of enterprises often presents significant challenges for field technicians to gain instant access to customer sites, which is crucial to resolving issues quickly.
Shah added that the ThinkReality platform Lenovo pairs well with CareAR to modernize the service experience, empowering field technicians and enterprise customers to access the insight needed to quickly identify and repair issues, reducing truck rolls and costly downtime.
