As CES 2024 spins its gears this week, immersive technology innovator Sightful announces the early rollout of Spacetop – an augmented reality laptop. The new solution introduces a unique productivity hardware solution for 2024’s XR customers, adding another enterprise-ready spatial technology solution to the growing market.
The firm is debuting its Spacetop via an early access program that invites select clients to a list of early adopters who provide feedback on the upcoming device. Interested groups can now apply for the early access program to leverage the next-generation device. The device will be available via Sightful’s online storefront for $2,150.

The feedback we received has directly informed the refinement of our software, helping us get it to the point where we are ready to open up Spacetop to the broader public so they can experience the next stage in the evolution of laptops and the value that Augmented Reality can bring to their everyday lives.
Refining the Spacetop
The early access programme looks to refine the Spacetop product as it reaches general availability. The firm started this initiative in May 2023, and since then, Sightful has improved its upcoming product.
During the current stage of feedback and refinement, Sightful improved its product with a range of updates to boost the device as a productivity tool.
The Spacetop product now includes an improved “Live Stream” feature, which enhances collaboration opportunities on the device by letting workers share their first-person perspective.
The device also has an expanded library of web applications, including Windows 365, Hubspot, Docusign, Figma, Notion, Mesh Payment, and Hibob HR.
Another refinement includes updated travel motion tracking that improves the Sapcetop’s performance in a moving vehicle via a dedicated motion stabilization mode.
Sightful also operates an Enterprise Seeding Program to accelerate XR device adoption via its list of partners and, therefore, ubiquity in the workplace by distributing its product to Fortune 500 companies.
The program allows Sightful to refine its distribution to meet enterprise needs and requirements from data security to onboarding.

In partnership with XREAL, Sightful first debuted its innovative product at AWE 2023. XREAL’s CEO Chi Xu introduced Spacetop as a “worlds-first” AR laptop during the event. The move marked XREAL’s partial transition towards productivity tools, as it takes Apple’s Vision Pro head-on with its Air 2 Ultra product.
The XREAL Air 2 Ultra is a pair of AR smart glasses that offer a range of advanced features at an affordable price. Designed to be worn for long periods, the lightweight device weighs only 80 grams and provides immersive applications for work, entertainment, and fitness activities.
In addition to its competitive price point, the XREAL Air 2 Ultra boasts an impressive array of features, including six degrees of freedom (6DoF) via dual 3D environment sensors, Full HD for each eye, a field-of-view (FOV) of 52°, 42 pixels per degree (PPD), and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Moreover, the XREAL Air 2 Ultra has received TÜV Rheinland certification for its colour accuracy, eye comfort, low blue light, and flicker-free usage.
Xreal is promoting the Spacetop alongside the device’s core developers, Sightful, to create a mobile AR-ready computing device. Sightful is working with XREAL to leverage its smart glasses to deliver HD AR visualizations to laptop users and mobile workforces.
The partners launched the AR laptop together, marking a co-existence between the firm’s vision. Moreover, during his AWE 2023 keynote, Chi Xu noted that “productivity is everything,” clearly keeping a new interest from the firm in creating enterprise-grade productivity tools.
Sightful promises to deliver spatial computing tools within a lightweight mobile laptop device, allowing hybrid workers to expand their workflows across various immersive screens – similar to external monitors, but with far less equipment.
